Windows rails in bad shape, almost desperated for help ( =

Hello dear virtual friends.

I'm having a really hard time trying to find parts to fix my power windows.

The glass dude says i need new window rails, so i'm trying to find some repair kit or new window rails, but it seems to be an impossible mission.

Here, at Brazil, a new set of window rails for my 96 Ranger at the dealership costs around 300 U$ and they aren't sure they can get.... most used ones i find are in bad shape too.. good ones only from 98+ trucks.

So..... what can i do ? , i tried the "buy section" of this forum but it doesn't looks promising so far, ebay.. you name the seller and i have asked for this item.... i can't find it at regular auto stores thru internet....

Maybe is there a way to repair mines ? fill them with weld ?? ,, use from a newer ranger model ?? hope that a good soul will lend me a hand and send me info about where to buy new ones??

Any help/idea is appreciated

You might be able to broker a deal with a member hear who can get rails frmo the junkyard and will sell and ship them to you.

That would be nice too, i like to recycle.. i need also other parts for my STX.. so would be nice if someone knows of a parting ford ranger 95 ~ 97 with power windows.. i would get all internals, including motors and all. if a STX could use other parts as well.

Of course i'm willing to pay all expenses, just need to discuss it right.

Ford anyone ?

yup, they ship intl.. but not sure about big parts.. maybe not cost worth.. i once tried to get a pair of seat track,, ship was 4x the tracks cost.

As far as i can tell, the rails must come "pre formed", and they seems to be a big part.. not heavy.. just.. big.

Also, i see i have a number of things inside the door window system... i wonder what else i could replace to improve my window action/speed.... I plan on replace both rails, motors and anything else "wearable". lets see what i will be able to come up/get/find.

Looks like you can order online as well and pay with a credit card. I would think they would ship to Brazil since they have an international phone number. I didn't see an e-mail address either.
