Windows 7 Release Candidate

Yeah, no need to have a 64bit PC, unless you need to run a shit load of ram for some reason...

not gong to do it anyways, going to replace this laptop and give it to my daughter. XP pro will be fine for her.

I just put it on my laptop a few days ago and so far I like most of it but not enough to buy it for my main desktop when it's released. On my laptop it runs very well with about the same Ram usage as XP which is good as it's an older laptop with a 1.8 ghz turion and 1 gig of ddr400. The biggest problem I had was I like having a few things on the sidebar and on my laptop it would always sit around 15-20% cpu usage with the sidebar gadgets open and the lack of quick launch and classic start menu (at least i don't see these options)

The 32 bit version of 7 is supposed to be able to handle up to 16GB of RAM. That is MORE than enough.

Yeah not really any need for it yet (though I won't buy another 32 bit OS) but I look at it this way, until a large portion of users are running 64 bit then the 64 bit apps won't be developed, but people don't want to go 64 bit because there's no reason because of few apps that use it.

Where did you see this? That shouldn't be possible.

so far what I see I like. I have one issue tho, and it is probably due to microsoft virtual PC 2007... both the beta and the RC will not connect to the internet on virtual PC...
