ok. so im thinking about tinting my windows with some of the pre cut ones. i know its not the easiest task but im up for it. my question is how dark should i go? ilike the front ones to still be able to see in so i was thinking 35%. but i want the back ones darker. from factory the back windows are already a bit darker than the front ones. should i stay with 35% knowing the backs will turn out a bit darker or should i go for like 25% or 30%.

pictures and tips are appreciated

Check the legality in your state. Some states allow specific percentage (say 35%), others are more vague ("an officer must be able to see into the vehicle" type stuff). Depends on where you live.
Never go so dark that you cannot see the road at night.

My laws are no windshield. 35 on driver and passenger and I think 15 for any back window

just put 15 all the way around. In georgia its 35 in the front and the back doesnt matter. But seriously 15 in the front is awesome all I do is roll my windows down at night and the cops dont care

i went with 20 on all my side glass and 5 on the back. if i were to re do it i'd go 20 all the way around. with my sunroof it isn't nearly as dark as a ranger with 20 without a sunroof, but thats why i did the back glass a little darker. here in indiana i think the law is a 6 inch strip on the windshield and no darker than 35% anywhere, but cops don't mess with us for that kind of stuff. also, i would never go with 5 again on that back glass. can't see shit at night

I have 35 up front and 20 on the back 3. I had clear glass from the factory. i really like it but if i did it again i would do 20 up front and 5 in the back 3.

Yeah I lied. I thought my back glass was tinted but its not. Do you have any pics of your windows?

So I went with 50% up front and 35% for all the backs. Its not black out but it gives me a darker classic truck look. I should get them sometime next week. Ill ppost pics of the install

my tints came in today. i think im gonna try to install them tomorrow... wish me luck

i got my quarter windows done today. i just took them off the truck and did them inside. right side has no bubbles but a small rip from peeling them apart. the rip is tiny and in a spot relatively unnoticeable. but the driver side has a couple tiny hairs on it. i might try to cut it and use a heat gun to shrink it. or not. ill probably finish on friday or the weekend due to me having school full time and work everyday.

beside a few tiny imperfections they came out great. i'll get a picture tomorrow

the front still has nothing but the quarters are 35% in the picture. i managed to get one section of my back window done before i had to go to work. should be able to finish the back tomorow. so far i like it but i will probably end up re doing the quarters in the spring

got everything finished. definitely not a job for the beginners. let me know what you think
