I need to replace this (picture below) window seal on my 2000 Ranger. Does anyone know exactly what it's called and how to replace it? Where would I be able to get one? It appears like I may need a special tool to install it, but I'm not for sure. It looks bad and the window makes a noise when rolled up and down because this piece is broken and not secured like it's supposed to be. Thank you.

In my Ford manual, it appears to be called a "Beltline Outside Weatherstrip".

My guess is it's a dealer-only (or junkyard) item.

Edit: Maybe check at LMC Truck.

If the piece is still good, i.e. keeps the rain water out, ,then you can glue it down to the metal. It may be a cheap idea but I did it once and it hasn't moved since. Just go to an auto parts store and ask for a rubber to metal sealant.

JY that shit!

LMC too!

I don't know where to get one because mine are good, but I do know that you can take it off and try bending the clips back into position. That will also give you a chance to get that dent out of it.

It's a belt moulding, dealer item or junkyard. If you get a junkyard one, pull the mirror off, stick a flathead screwdriver in from the mirror end, and slowly peel it out. It should come out pretty easily this way, and not damage it. It helps if the window is down too, as the glass will kindof squeeze against it.

The clips in the center and on the right seem to still be good, but the left is a different kind of clip and looks as if it may need to be attached to the door in a different manner than the other set of clips. It almost looks like a rubber piece that has rivets that attach it to the door. I may have to take another picture so ya'll can identify it.
