So, first I did search the forum first, but I have a new Kenwood radio, and pioneer speakers. Sounds awesome as long as you hold the window crank knobs LOL. they rattle with the bass. Any ideas on how to stop it? They arent screwed in right? more like a riveted in? I read one post about rubber bands? I might try that on the passenger side since it doesnt get used very often, but seams like they would snap or get turned up on themselves and pop when used often... I dunno whats everyones ideas here? Thanks for yer input!

someone told me to try rubber bands and i did and they work GREAT! you just have to replace them once in a while from rolling down your window, i don't know anyother way that works.

for simple fixes the rubber band trick works, but your window crank is held on with a c clip. it can become giggle after a while. you could remove it and fill it with some adhesive, and reinstall but hope yo never need to take your door off.

I'd use some RTV/silicone, as you can still remove it if needed.

Cool thanks guys! I did the rubber band trick today, seams to be working pretty good. Might try the silicone stuff if the bands start breaking. Thanks again!

what about an o-ring? it would hold up better than a rubber band.

i stuck fabric insulation in there...just crammed it in with a screwdriver..worked great, no rattles, and the knob still turned.

Add a sub and those rattles go away! haha!

Being a 10 year old truck, I suggest getting brand new window cranks from the dealer. Mine too rattled whenever I had the amp turned down. The knob that rattles was very loose. Put on new crank handles from the dealer and the problem went bye bye thanks to the new nice and tight knobs. Only cost about $20 to do it.

I been thinking about adding a sub, I have been looking on craigslist for the last couple months. I only have like 100 bucks I can spend on an amp/sub combo. There are a few in my area, I just dont know what I am looking at. or what kinda watts I should be aiming for. And some of the folks on craigslist are flakes and dont check emails for weeks at a time, ya know. but I keep looking :)
