winch questions

all pics will be in my build thread.. just probably not yet. spent a lot of time designing yesterday so didn't get a lot of metal work finished.

thanks for the info guys.. the local guys are just warn or bust ppl, i figured that out today. they don't have a real reason why they hate smittybilt other than one guy from the club had one and it only worked for one pull.. EVERYONE else is just saying it b/c of what he said... but even his was warrantied so.... haha.

Sounds about right, some people are pretty dumb. One experience is hardly enough to judge a product. Warranty FTW.

whatever winch you go with, remember to get a snatch block. Its just a pulleyd plate that technically doubles the pulling power, but cuts your speed in half. It will however assist your winch with living longer and running cooler.

I think I'm getting an xrc8. Steel cable right now. And a recovery kit of some sort that has all that In it. What's the best deal on the kit?

Is all we have finished on it now. It's not gonna be squared out like that. We just caucused on the inside fit to get the curves right n all. It will be something like the ones you can buy off pirate for the EX's but some of my own custom touches of course.
