Willies Jeep for $100?

Oh well...
Just how bad was it? The frame rotted out or just the body?

You can't expect much for a $100 Jeep.

Just the engine is worth that, assuming it runs.

Well, you see, I can have anything on the road in a few weeks work with my shop, just need the time more than the money. I could have MY truck road legal tomorrow, if I worked literally ALL day on it. But its not worth the time since it needs brakeline and I have never done that before. AND my truck also has a bad habit of electrical cutout.....
If you cant do brake lines you cannot half-way restore that rusted pos....Sorry, but that thing looks pretty bad. Thats not just "rust work". That looks like replacing a ton of shit.

Brake lines are easy. I love buying vehicles that need a little brake work, good way to get a lower price.

What you should look into is buying two vehicles, with opposet problems. Lets say.. a ranger with a bad frame and one with a bad engine. Or something simular. It's what I'm going to try to do with my Jeep if I can't get that title sent over. That way I can have a good VIN/title from another one.

Well, I am hoping to get this parts truck within a few months, (100% chance of me getting it, literally, just a matter of saving $700 up, right now at $40, aceepting donations!!!!), and buying a 4.0 to shove in it.

Now, of course I don't know anything about the truck your looking at, but $700 for what your calling a "parts truck", that needs an engine sound like quite a lot.

Just a quick search of craigslist near me, turns up a bunch of nice, running trucks for about that price.

It's body is in MINT condition, he engine blew and the transmission is no good, but I was planning on replacing those anyways.

There is NO rust on this truck, and it was treated like new all its years.

was at the jy when a guy brought in a 2001 durango and the yard wouldn't touch it for the 1000bucks he wanted for it. I asked Rusty why he wouldn't take it and replace the motor? he stated that a new engine for that 3.9 was $3500 plus a grand to have it put in. those motors are alot worst than the 2.9 colgen ever was. If you can do it on the cheap good luck. I have the ram 1500 and always liked that body style.

They pick up cars all the time. It's how they get most of them. I'll check for it when I go down, I have to browse the jeeps anyway. Gary's is only 20 minutes or so from the PA border.
