i have an 06 ranger 4x4 with the electric transfer case and was wondering if an older style manual transfer case from an 80's bronco ll or ranger would work with the tranny and hubs.

I think it would work... you have a live axle setup in front so there is no hubs, the only problem is the shifter... you may have to cut a hole in the floor for it.

IF you can find the manual t-case that came on the 2002 FX4 with a manual transmission, it should be pretty easy. But that's a big IF. The words "hen's teeth" come to mind.

Funny... there are TWO '02 FX4's with the manual tranny at a local wrecker. Too bad it's not the Pick 'N' Pull, that driveline would be mine in a half-heartbeat! So much for "hen's teeth."
