Ok so I have a 1984 ranger single cab xlt 2wd auto. its bone stock right now. Im looking to start on the front end first. So what im thinking is keep the stock I beams and radius arms because I keep hearing they give 14 inches of travel without mods. then ill weld some u mounts to my frame so i can mount a king 2.0 coilover (14 inch travel version). Then ill just mount up some bigger tires and a limiting strap will that work? If not please explain why :icon_welder:

14" stroke shock wont work to get the 14" o ftravel you want. you need to measure from where you will be mounting the shock on the ibeam to where you will be mounting the shock on the frame, or bracket. Drop the front end beam as far as you like or as mcuh as it will go and measure these two points. then jack the beam as far up as you can till you hit bumpstops and measure again. find the difference between the two measurments and thats the stroke shock you need. kinda quick and crude the way i put it but im runnin out the door lol. hope this helps
