Will this starter work from a 01 ranger in 05 Mazda

I just joined the forum but I’ve been a long time lurker. I could use some help.
I am at pick a part in the rain and need to know if the starter from a 2001 ranger, I think it’s the 4.0 v6 automatic, will work in my 2005 2.3L Mazda b2300?

According to Rockauto, no. And the pics don't look the same either.
