i found an 8.8 posi rear end out of a 1992 explorer on craigslist just wanted to make sure if it will fit before i go ahead and buy it, i have a 94 4.0 ranger 5 spd 2wd.

he wants 150 bucks for it, but he also has a 7.5 inch out of a 99 ranger with 4:10's. and he wants the same price for that too.

im able to weld but my brother is alot better so he would weld what needed to be welded

Why go to the trouble unless something is wrong with the 8.8 you have now. Go with a cheap "lunch-box" locker.
