what do you think, should I add some electric fans ? or is it not taking up too much space and nothing to worry about, there is some grill left exposed on the sides as you can see but the bumper and lights cover up pretty much the whole part of the rad that should be showing. and i noticed under the hood she is alot hotter when you first pop the hood, not sure if its caused by the lights and bumper or another problem, if it is something else, any ideas on what it could be? thanks

the bumper/lights beign in the way shouldn't cause a big enough drop in airflow to cause overheating by itself, or at least I don't think it would.

ok thanks, im wondering if i shuold add some electric fans just in case

Can't go wrong with adding secondary fans anyways :P

It there wasn't such a gap between the bumper and the grill, it might be an issue, but theres a good enough gap that air would make it's way around it. (or it looks that way from the pic, got a sideview?)

That's plenty of air flow IMHO. Compare that amount of space to what your Mustang gets.

It's really starting to take shape now dude. Looks good.

never thought of that, and thanks.
i might add the fans anyways, guess thats the next project

If it starts to get hot, add some additional cooling, whether it be a bigger radiator or some fans.

Is your mechanical fan working as it should?

never really noticed the temp gauge, ill check though.

and yeah the mechanical one is working

putting a 4.0 rad would probably be the best thing to do. you wouldn't have to worry about wiring anything up and i'm sure it would keep it cool enough.

IMHO the best more cool mod is the 2 core radiator. Not just any 4.0 radiator but the 2 core.Warning though if you put one in you won't have room for an electric fan.Another thing you could do is check Rangers at the junk yard and look for a bigger clutch fan for that came on the 2.9 I have seen some bigger than the one that came in my B2.An electric fan is real cool but if any one of the components break and there's quite a few when you think about it and your on slow 4x4 trail your going to be over heating till you get on the highway again.A bad day.

You can still run a pusher if you shop right though. You will have to trim the little brace in the middle for clearance or offset smaller one(s)

Also a ford Taurus elec fan is what I got! Make sure it's a 93-95 3.8L Taurus. And u gotta have a hd relay and such. I'll be adding pics on my build thread! Of mine tomorrow Mabey.

I had a pusher fan monted in my truck from a old honda fan I had laying around so I wired it up. My truck always ran hot in the summer never over heated but hot enough to notice the power loss. Worked great then I took my truck to the shop to have the head rebuilt (new cam, lifter and fallowers) and the shop owner had the fan laying on the passenger seat when I came to pick my truck up. He said some dumbass put a chysler fan in that truck I pulled it out those rangers never run hot enough to ever need another fan.:annoyed:
