Will this cause overheating?

i think i might go with a 4.0 rad since that would be easier to find, thanks

the three core 4.0 radiator is superior to the two core, that's what i'm running right now.

Yeah, find a 3 core 4.0 radiator. You'll know when you see it, cause it's freaking huge.

I'm running one in my 4.0 BII, and I very rarely even have to turn on my fan...

Is that a aftermarket only deal or do it come stock on 4.0 rangers or explorers?

I have never heard of one.

I am running a 2 core Explorer radiator with the aforementioned pusher and it keeps my 302 cool...

you need a radiator from a 91-94 explorer automatic with a/c. then you can use the built in transmission cooler for an oil cooler if you want. i think you just need the lower radiator hose for an automatic to do the swap. i did it on my truck.

Mine has this. I think they called it the "Heavy Duty Cooling Package". The fan clutch is also heavier duty.

It takes for-damn-ever to heat up in the winter, so I put a piece of .030 PVC plastic sheeting in front of half of the radiator in the winter.

EDIT: I just looked it up on Rock Auto, and they call it a "thick 2 row". Here's the description: "w/ 2 1/4 " Thick 2 Row Core; Fits w/o AC; w/H.D. Cooling; w/AC; w/MAX Cooling".

Won't fit a first or second gen without surgery.

I used one like this (turned out to be a leaker) It is the original factory radiator out of a 1994 Explorer automatic with A/C. Bolted right in my '85, second generation is the same.
