So I have a question about a H/O alternator I'm looking to buy used.
It came off a 2001 ford explorer 4.0L SOHC.
I will be putting it on a 2000 ford ranger 4cyl 2.5l
I don't know how to figure out if it will fit.
Did some looking around in google but came up empty handed.
Any help would be great.
Thank you

I am not 100% but I do not believe that it will work on your truck. I believe they mount totally different.

Figuring this out is so incredibly simple, not sure how people do not know how to do this.

Go to NAPAonline.com

Punch up the two vehicles in question.

Look up the part you are interested in

Do the part numbers match? If not, it won't fit.

Thanks for the answer adsm
I got a answer from Mechman shortly after i posted this so i forgot to come back and follow up.
It will not fit. :(

They may have a different part number just because of a voltage output difference.I have used one off of a Escort and I think the spare i have now is off a f150.You might have to pull the bolts out of the case and rotate it but a few fit different stuff.Just pull one off at the yard and try it or go to napa and get a new one and try it on it to see if it fits
