Will the Dipstickless designs find it's way to the poor man's market?

Volvo also did a concept like this in the mid 90's. You could put two things in: gas & wiper juice. Belive it or not, it was aimed at women.

Some of these changes are aimed at reducing emissions. If the engine has combustion products getting past the rings, one of the "uncontrolled" emission points would be the dip stick. The filler cap has some baffles to remove the solid stuff.

If it is that far gone, it will be rolling a smokescreen out the exhaust too.

My Ranger is straddling that line, I stuck a PCV out of a 400 in it a couple years during a raging blizzard just to get by with. It didn't work too bad so I wan't in a huge hurry to replace it. I decided to replace it since it was old last summer and it couldn't hold the dipstick in the tube. Stuck the 400 one in and it doesn't push out anymore.

It has been a smoker since I got it 10 years ago.

well..... i was thinking today.... ok might not be the exact same but we use a diesel I6 turbo to to jets called a coleman(duno why) but it drives a straight line goes to where i want it. and turns on a dime. i thought why do i control this. it goes in a staight line and turns. i think it would be more useful to follow the lines on the taxiway. but it is the human condition to meddle with the unknown and the different. it makes sense to be able to make concisous dicisions to take taxiway alpha or bravo........

We all need to just buy a bunch of decent old cars, fix em' up real nice and drive them for as long as possible, the go get another old car, and start over again.

Amen bother!!!!!

We're being eco-friendly by recycling used vehicals, THUS using less new material AND getting better milage. My '94 gets 25 mpg, which is better than many NEW trucks on the road.
