will not come out off 4wd

Noticed the other day that my right side hub was not unlocking on my 98 ranger when taking it out of 4wd. I took the hub lock off and cleaned it up even though it wasnt dirty, put it back on and still have the same problem. Could the spring inside the lock outs be getting weak and cause this problem. If it can where can i get the springs or do I have to get the whole lock out? Thanks for any help.

by the way everything else works just fine.

The spring is probably fine. More than likely its a lack of vacuum on that side.

I get that. But if it was lack of vacuum why will it go into 4wd with no problem everytime. but just will not come out without me manually doing taking it out. if there was no vacuum it would never go into 4wd in the first place.

How staraight was the metal clip attached to inside of the white plastics piece?

The clip looked pretty straight, but did notice that it acted like it just didn't want to catch like it was supposed to.
