will my 1998 2.5l engine go into my 1999 ranger which currently hs a blown 3.0?
the 98 2.5 was manufactured 12/97 and currently has a 4r44e auto attached to it. The 99 has a m50d-r1 tranny in it and id like to keep it a manual. so i guess my question is will the 2.5 bolt onto the m50d-r1? sorry if this has been posted, also i know its going to be asked, "why not rebuild/replace the 3.0?" simple anwser being i already have the 2.5 and i was recently layed off of my job so between life and my 7mnth old son i have no extra cash to make it work i have the entire truck thhat i want to take the negione out of so i have everything jsut need to know if it will work

No, plain and simple. If you want the 2.5 in the 99 will will need to swap it all.
