i have a 2000 Ranger and need to disconnect the battery to clear out some stuff from the ECU before i plug in my chip. will my radio lock me out if i disconnect the battery?

shouldnt, i just replaced the battery in my 2000 explorer in march and my radio was fine, i've only seen acura's and honda's do it
