I have a 93 xlt Ranger extended cab 2 wd with a 4.0L, OD auto tranny. I am torn between a motor and transmission rebuild (currently at 430,000 kms
) or a swap to a V8(5.0 L/302). My question is this; Is it possible to buy a V8 Explorer(2 or 4wd, but 4 preferred) and swap the running gear and motor across. I miss a 4 wheel drive so this sounds like a win/win 
option if at all possible. I also figure that if it was all together in one truck I should be able to figure out how to get it together in the other. Thanks in advance for the help, and not calling me and idiot
