Hi,
I have a buddy who has a 1999 ford ranger with the 4.0 v6 and recently rolled it but the engine and tranny still run great. The truck actually still drives other than major body damage the engine and tranny did not seem affected at all. I have a 1991 ranger with the 2.9 in it with around 210K miles on it and its starting to have problems. I was wondering if the newer 4.0 would fit without major modifications seeing as how the other 4.0's from the early 90's look close to the same and were interchangable with the 2.9's.
