Hey guys, i just bought a 1991 explorer for cheap and im swapping the front dana 35 into my 1984 ranger. I already have a 31 spline 8.8 out back of my ranger, but i left the small U-joint on the front of my rear driveshaft when i swapped that in. I want to upgrade it now to the larger one on the explorer. My question is:

1: Will the rear flange off the the explorer 1354 transfer case bolt onto my 1350 on my ranger? Or do i have to get another flange off of a 1350 transfer case?

2: The front driveshaft has bigger U-joints than mine...is there a way to upgrade the u-joint on the front? Mine has that chinsy slip yolk on the front of the transfer case.

Any other advice you guys have...just let me know.

If i were you, i would swap the 1354 in place of the 1350. If that is not an option, yes the 1354 flange/yoke will bolt onto the 1350.

use the front 1354 yoke, on the 1350 rear, and use the front explorer shaft as a rear shaft.

I would just swap the transfer cases, but the 1354 is electric shift...and i just dont like the idea of that at all. Thank you for the input, i appreciate it.
