I need to replace the rear end out of 95 Ranger 2.3L with 7.5 - 3.73 gear ratio. I found an 89 Ranger rear end that is a 7.5 - 3.45. Will the 89 direct swap with my 95?

AFAIK know, everything should switch right over. Your speedo will read slightly slower as well, but not by much.

10% isn't much? It's enough for a speeding ticket.

The 89 must be RABS. If it doesn't have a sensor or tone ring in it, you'll disable the speedometer.

Do yourself a favor and find another 3.73 rear, it will be a dog with the 3.45 gear, I just swapped a 3.73 7.5 into my brothers 91 reg cab (it had had a 3.45) the 3.73 gear woke it up!! The 83-92 ranger rear is 2" narrower than the 93 and up (1" per side) if you go with the 89 7.5 make sure you get the axles with it, other than that it's a direct bolt in.
