Ok so my rig has developed a skipping. Seems to do it at midrange rpms at parrt throttle. Don't know how long its been doing it, I noticed it aftyer the exhaust. I have as new holley 350, and its durasparked with new disty, coil, cap, rotor, and plugs. Timing is at 10 degrees. Could this be carb related? I did my idle mixture for high idle. I feel like my float might be off. Any ideas where to start? U can't really feel it, but if I tap the gas a few times in a row while I'm letting the clutch out it wanna stall.. Sometimes it hesitates off idle

Sorry if this don't make sense I'm on my phone

Ok I reset the float level, it was a little low, and reset the idle air mixture. I figured out my throttle plate wasn't closing enough to where it hit the stop, so I added a stiffer spring to my dual throttle return bracket. I set the idle mixture after that. Timing is 10 degrees with vac advance on ported nipple on carb. It seems to like that better then vacuum t. I have the stock 61 jets in it. I had 59 in it awhile back but plugs showed a lot of white so I went back to 61 jets and they are a little black, but not sure if its from reving and playn with the carb. Also when I rev high and let go I get a puff of white smoke, but it doesn't do it at wot with a load. Coolant is nice and new looking and the oil isn't going where its not supposed to. Except in the driveway lol. I have a 180 stat and temp guage reads 190 no higher(aftermarket guage)

Gas mileage is shitty(about 11 mpgs.

Yall think its a carb problem, ignition, or something else? Idles great and drives ok(besides the hesitation sometimes around 1500-1800 rpms(I'm guessing, don't have a tach)

Time to put my freshly rebuilt 2150 with metering block on? My intake manifold leaks oil, and when I sprayed carb cleaner around the vc the idle changed. Think that's the problem? Other then that I couldn't find any vacuum leaks

Thanks guys, I hope to get this ironed out before an upcommin trip
