Why TRS is possibally the best site on the internet

For all around info, this is a great site. They have built a really nice tech section and a lot of good 4x4 info. The best? All depends on your needs. For V-8 swap stuff I go right to RPS. Sorry. They have a couple of Ford engineers there who have done the swap and have just a "little" bit of inside info. For transmissions and rear ends, I'm here.

Gotta love this site. It helps me keep my sanity during the work day. Funny thing is that compared to a lot of forum sites we have a small number of members. Yet with all their tens of thousands of members they still don't offer the quality that you get here. Also not trying to bash RF.com or RPS.com but there's a whole lot less technical help on those sites than here. I've said before that the Tech Library is an invaluable source or information. As long as the site is up I will be here.

Well right now we've got 11,575 members, but you can tell there's a few hundred who live here who really know their stuff. Everybody seems to have something to contribute too, or knows where you can find something if they don't know it.

I like seeing everybody across the nation and a few overseas and what they've done with their rigs, and the nice scenery that goes along with it. I'm only on one other board and it's prettymuch Seattle area only, it's pretty close knit, so it's not even comparable. I like both places, each has something the other doesn't.

This site is MySpace for Ranger addicts - too bad Jim hasn't made MySpace money from it yet. . . and if you do, you deserve it.

I gotta say that I have learned a ton of stuff from this site and I don't know what I would do without it. I do spend waaaaaay too much time here though - not necessarily a bad thing I guess. Like today I have probably been here for at least a couple hours at work which is about average.

Which is one reason this site is the way it is. It is for Ranger enthusiasts. It is not a money making operation. If it was it would go downhill fast. I agree on the thanks to Jim Oaks, who started the site years ago with just a handful of people(shows you how long I have been here). Keep the good tech flowing in, keep the threads on the tame side, and it will continue to be fantastic.....:headbang:
