2000 Ranger, 2.5l, 2wd. Fuel pump relay is activating with engine off, sometimes activates with engine running, stalling engine. Why?

There's a bumble bee living in there.
Could simply be the relay dying....corrosion on wiring...causing stray current ground or back feeding....
