Why im selling my stuff?? to get this....

My mom had one of those while I was growing up. Exact same config but it was red and a '99. Gave it to my brother who turned it in on C4C with about 160k on it. It drove like crap and the driver's side door fell off once, but it never left us stranded.

The straight six 4.0 is one of the few things Chrysler got right, take care of it and you should be okay.

What's good 31s?

I'd buy an Explorer before a Cherokee...oh wait, I did. :icon_twisted: That way you can have an RBV!

For 31s you can't go wrong with BFG ATs or MTs. I've had both and liked them. The General Grabber AT2 looks pretty promising. Also, check out www.treadwright.com, I've heard lots of good stuff about them.

The only ex was priced 2 grand over what I'm lookin to spend

The 89 has got a Rusty's Off Road 3" Lift and 31" Wranger Duratracs. It looks mean.

Anything I do will be pretty mild as Its to nice to break stuff lol

this is what i hope to buy if i get everything in order.

the carfax is clean no accidents great record of repairs done, only two owners.
One of the most capable STOCK vehicles I have ever owned. Only the Wrangler was better but of course if you want to buy more than a sandwich and some fruit at the store, you can't drive a Wrangler. All around best vehicle I had was the Cherokee.

Better than the Tacoma's, the Ranger, the F-150 and all. The only thing that sucked was the gas mileage but that's part of the price I suppose. Not many vehicles with a SOLID FRONT AXLE do well in the gas area.

Needs some lift and a good set of meats.

The lift is going to hurt. I did a 4" on mine old 99 and it cost me almost 2 grand by the time I was done.

Hmm I may keep it stock then. What mpgs did you get if you can remember jason?

I averaged 14.5 over 50k miles. Mixed city/highway. Could pull 18 on the highway at 75mph.

I can live with that. The benefits vs the lil car make up for the mpg gap imo

Here's an inspirational pic smokes.

I RUN PLAINSMENS AT's not sure how they do in snow, Ill find out htis winter. But im two wheel drive still too. THey are a little dry rotted since i bought them used for 0 bucks, but good tread and mileage seems to be holding up. They slide a little in the rain, but I have brake problems too.. such as nothing at all in hte rearLOL.
