I just had a guy at work offer me 2 grand more than I paid for it!!! Looks like the Tacoma is taking a new home if he produces the cash. Gotta love high resale values!! Drive a year AND get paid for it. Apparently used Tacoma's aren't an easy thing to find. I'll just have my buddy grab another from Manheim.

Don't sigh. I like the Ranger too. It's a good bang for the buck truck like I have said before. I am just not a huge "bang on a budget" kind of guy.

I like the TACO myself.
Neighbor has one with the V-8, have driven his several times, nice truck!

Good luck on the sale!

Damn, that must be kinda nice haha. Keep us posted on if he comes up with the cash

that was one thing i always hated....i'd be looking on craigslist and you could get like 3-4 year old newer rangers for less than older toyotas with way more miles. I would never pay that much but thats just me. They are proven trucks i just don't want to pay. I saw a guy on craigslist trying to sell a 94 tacoma for 10,000. And the add was serious it had just rolled over 100k and it was " mint " and it was " low mileage " for the year, i wanted to punch the guy. Good luck with the sale!

Every single toyota add on CL is like that. Often I email them and break it to them that their 12 year old truck with 200k+ miles isnt worth $7K...

I knew a guy who bought a B-series once, drove it for 10 years, put 100K on it and sold it for a a grand more than he paid.

ALso heard about a guy who bought a plymouth brand new in 1943, drove it until 1977 and sold it for 700 more than he paid.

So Jason, where are you that you are picking up cars from Manheim?

I had a tercel that I bought for 275 and sold for 300. had the car for 5 years and put about $1000 into it. then the guy i sold it to sold it for 600. I almost had to pay some one to take that dam thing, Because I bought my ranger and had knowhere to but the tercel:annoyed: and every taco truck i see for sale is an 04 or older and has 200,000+ miles and they want $20,000 for it:annoyed:

Amen!!!!

$2,000 for the truck (plus another $500 to get it set up for my taste), and under 130K miles (when I bought it) is a good deal.

I've had friends amazed at how much stuff the bed of my Ranger can hold. Plus, my 4-banger is good on gas (especally when backed by the 5-speed), and the bench seat is surprisingly comfirtable on long trips (2000 from NH to Indy & back, and my back or butt never complained once, except for the swamp ass).

The only downside is that anybody over 6' has a hard time fitting in a regular cab. The good news is that I'm 5'8" and it fits me like a glove!

Always good to make money.Usually high resale means your getting some of the money back from when you overpaid to start with.

I am in Buffalo but a friend works for a local auto group and they buy from Manhiem quite a bit and have them hauled in.
