You know. I’m very self aware that as far as my clothing style, music, and and my sense of style, are very much stuck in the early 2000s.

I’m looking online, looking for new sneakers (I have a thing for shoes) and looking up jeans and whatnot. And all I can see are these loafer type things. Skinny jeans. And tye dye shirts.

When the hell did this become the staple for how men dressed? Skinny jeans? Are you f—king crazy??? Get real sugar puff! I’m not squeezing my size 36 ass into anything that says “skinny”

Bring back baggy jeans. Black shirts. And skate board shoes :annoyed:

***end of rant***

wait 'till you're pushin' 65, sonny.

buying clothing is similar to stocking the toolbox with the "good stuff". it takes a bit of looking to find it.

Sounds like someone is getting old. :icon_twisted:

Relaxed fit Wranglers, Wolverines/Justin's, a t-shirt and I let the world do whatever. :icon_thumby:

you know what is worse then fluffball bearded pussies wearing skinny jeans....

lucky for me I am good with it:thefinger::thefinger::thefinger:

Skinny jeans have been around for a while. I only wear boot cut jeans. Always have.

My "nice" jeans are 'Copenhagen' boot cuts from Macy's. My every day jean is Levi's 527's. I've been wearing Levi's since I was a little kid, and still have my Levi denim jacket that I got back in the late 80's.

Being in Texas, there are a bunch of places specializing in ranch and western wear. Apparently 'Wrangler' has a lot of money invested in rodeo's, and people act like that's the official jeans of a real cowboy. They obviously don't listen to Willie Nelson. According to Willie, "Cowboys ain't easy to love and they're harder to hold. They'd rather give you a song then diamonds or gold. Lonestar belt buckles and old faded Levi's and each night begins a new day. If you don't understand him and he don't die young He'll probably just ride away"

As far as hipsters....my 20 year old son is a hipster. I don't get it, but I guess he's in style for his age. Apparently the new trend is wearing clothes that don't have any logos.

the clothing style has sucked for the past 5-8 years. ever since skinny jeans became the thing to wear. SCREW THAT! I agree with the poster for the baggie jeans and skate shoes. Those are some of the most comfortable shoes you will ever wear. baggie jeans allow you to move like you body intended to move. I'm not talking like the old jnco jeans, just something that's not a denim leotard. kids have to literally pull their jeans inside out as the take them off because they are that damn tight. Then of course they don't roll them right side out when they need washed so they get washed inside out. lazy kids these days. i'm only 29 and feel like kids these days are half as intelligent and work ethic as people my age. we at least knew how to bust our ass to get a job done. they'd rather be taking selfies or blogging about their lunch they are ordering, received, and ate. kids cant do anything without taking a picture of it to show everyone else that they ordered omelets with orange juice. no one cares.

Wow. What a thread. My wife says my fashion style us stuck in the 70's and 80's. Levi 501 or 505 for me. I can go in, pick up a pair of those in 34 x 32, pay and leave. I know they will fit. I like simple, fast shopping because I hate clothes shopping. Although for working in the yard or around the shop, I usually have old Carhartt work pants that are too raggedy for the workplace. Various assorted t-shirts top it off. I'm comfortable and that's all I care about. I don't buy or wear something just because it's " in style".

My clothes aren't hard to find either. Get out, go to a store and buy what you like. Forget about what everyone else is wearing.

This is a funny thread. My son is 20, and I call him my hipster. My daughter is 22, and I call her my millennial. She's always asking questions, and doesn't like to have to call people on the phone. From time to time I have to tell her to Google things and look it up herself, instead of always asking me.

On the jeans topic, I also wear cargo pants if I'm going to be spending a lot of time outdoors.

How about pajamas?

I went out with a woman that got her 22 year old twin sons some pajamas for Christmas. I asked her if people actually wear pajamas anymore. She said they like to wear them when their sitting around the house. I thought that's what sweats were for? People are so comfortable in pajamas, they'll wear them to the mall.

People who wear pajama pants out in public drive me nuts. I like them for around the house, but if I am going farther than grabbing an armful wood from the back porch my jeans go on.

We get guys, and I mean grown asss men in their 40s and 50s in the store I work at in pajama pants all the time. I always want so bad to kick them out and tell them to come back and I will help them buy parts after they learn how to dress themselves for being out in public.

HAHAHA my mom still gets all the kids pajamas for Christmas. she's done it since we were all little kids. I don't wear pajamas around the house but I like them under my pants for layers. I don't like long johns because they are too tight and sometimes itchy. I would NEVER wear pajama pants out in public as my main pants. I'm a man, as a man I like my wallet in my back pocket, my knives where they belong and my phone in my front pocket. if one of these is not where they belong then I don't feel right. people who wear pajamas in public are lazy and pathetic. no one wants to see a grown man wear emoji pajama pants.

Other thing I hate is dogs in the store. I love my dog and I take him everywhere with me when I travel, but I do not take him in stores. Two nights ago I was in the grocery store and saw a German Shepherd walking up to a guy. I saw a woman in a nearby aisle, so I wasn't sure if the dog was just roaming around, or if it had left a woman and came to find him like a Lost Child.

I was in Walmart right before Christmas and heard somebody's dog barking.

Since we are on the topic of hipsters taking over the world, I'll just leave this here:

The audio is what's important, I know the video is garbage. And this shot at the hipsters came from the early 90s.

And for those of you who are not familiar with Mark Lowry, he is somewhere between Jeff Foxworthy and Weird Al, but has toured with Bill Gaither.

Our dog goes into Orchelens (farm and home store) and Bass Pro sometimes but I would never do a real store like wally world.

To the pajama thing, I dropped the wife at Kohl's last Sunday after lunch and a grown man (early-mid 20's) walked in front of me wearing the pink bunny pajamas from a Christmas Story and a lady/girl behind him in a similar outfit but I think it was a pig. Had the hoods up an everything. :shok:
