who remanufactured my engine

i traded a welder for a 2.9 motor yesterday, while i was making sure everything looked good on it i noticed a remanufactured plate on the back left side of the motor.
How do i know who remanufactured it and how do i figure out the date it was remanufactured in?

There a a few places that do this. If there is not a number or a name on it you might never know. Did you ask the guy you got it from? Do you know if it is going to run?? Is it a complete motor (heads and all)?

its a complete motor, heads, valve covers, intake, plenum, alternator, power steering pump, A/C, even a torque converter.
He said he got the motor/trans combo and all he needed was the trans. he said it ran and had no over heating issues, or ticks before it was pulled.
And i looked at the reman tag, it has 6 numbers on it and its a silver plate with a orange stripe on the top and bottom.

With no name on the tag, it's kinda hard to figure out who the manufacturer is. It could be from anywhere, Auto Zone, Advanced, who knows. Jasper will have their name on the tag as most other's I've see like Recon, etc.

Why is it upside down? You just had to make me stand on my head to read it... Well you can certainly rule out Jasper... It's not one of theirs.

it looks like theres some small lettering on the tip right corner in the picture, im gonna check and see if it has a company name on it or anything to help identify who did it.
