what i want to know is of those who have 33's on their '84-'91

what is the measurement on your truck from the ground up to the bottom edge of the door handle?

if nobody else tells ya by tomorrow morning, ill go put my 33's on and measure it for you

wait one.................back..1/4 " under 4" to the bottom of the handle. Skyjacker stage II hanger brackets set at 4" with Skyjacker S136 springs ( 1 1/2 years old) Trailmaster and stock rear blocks with the 1250 lb leaf pack with a add a leaf and Belltech rear shackles 33x12.50x15 Mickey T Baja MTZ's about 50 - 60 % tread ( the Baja's are noticeably smaller then my 1/3 remaining or less Trxus M/T 33x12.50x15 's )

ok, i could be wrong here but, reading your reply, from the ground to the bottom of your door handle is only 3 3/4 inches!!!?? are there some zero's missing or am i missing something? that would be one helluva lowering job though.

LOL, I have no idea what he was talking about. But I dont think he measured what the OP wanted. Sounds like he measures top of the wheel to the fender..... Should be somewhere round 48-54 inches.Just a guess.

49" to the bottom of the handle. It's the truck in my sig.

I'm at 50.5" to the door handle, but I have 35x12.50s. So i guess subtract an inch.
Though if someone has a 4" lift vs. a 6" lift, that of course is gonna change the measurement even if the tires are the same.

What info exactly are you looking for? Just how tall a truck typically is or ?

hahaha tired I guess 4 feet less a 1/4 inch! So 47 and 3/4 inchs

i built my truck from the ground up, by setting a bII body onto a shortened chev 3/4 ton frame. and mostly guessed on how high to build my body mounts on the gm frame, and such. i am running 33x12.50-15's and just wanted to know how well i did with a bunch of measuring, and a whole lot of guesswork

ok so far between the two sites (here and bII.org) i have gotten:

1 has 47 3/4"
1 has 49"
1 has 49 1/2"
2 have 49 3/4"
2 have 50 1/2"

from 7 responses we have a variation of 3"

you should really measure from the bottom of the door to the ground mine is 30 inches

i guess if you only had a 2 1/2" long tape measure.....:icon_rofl:

well just to keep it all the same what is your measurement to the door handle?

44.5" on the exploder.

44.5" with 33" tall tires? wow. mine is 51 3/8" so with the exact same tire size my rig sits 7" higher than yours? and when i wheel my tires rub my fenders......i bet yours rub like crazy:icon_confused:
