Which wheel to get?

Im about to purchase new tires in the next month or 2 but im unsure of what wheels to get. Im new to this and am not sure about backspacing and sizing. I see there are 15x8 and 15x10 and each size has there own backspacing. My goal would be to slightly bring out my tires a little more. I know the more spacing I give them to widen my truck the harder it will be on the bearings and such. I want something that will keep my truck working fine without putting much or any additional stress on the parts if I dont have to. I also dont even know the stock size or spacing either so I really have no idea where to even start. Been doing a lot of reading but im still confused. My tires im getting will be 33x12.5x15 and its a 93 ranger supercab. Any help would be appreciated.

my suggestion to you would be to find a local tire store, and tell them your situation, they usually carry a wide selection of rims, they might even have something in stock, to test fit, 5-4.5 is a very popular bolt pattern with virtually limitless widths and backspacings:beer:

Whats the pro's and cons of a 5x10 vs 5x8? Also does more backspacing put more stress on parts?

the wider wheel will allow the tire to seat properly on the wheel when inflated. the skinner wheel would make the sidewalls balloon out more.

I would get 8in wide cause you wont hit them offroading as much and you should be fine with 3.75 as far as wear goes plus it will help with hitting radius arms.

Ok so if I went with 15x10 would I have any issues with rubbing any parts. Not worried about fenders because that is easily solved but hitting parts could be another story.

Crager soft 8's are tough to beat for price and quality.

I want to do a 1 time purchase tho and want something that wont give me any issues and also would be the best buy. As long as I got clearance for all my parts and its not wearing my bearings out fast then il get them. If 15x10 clearance everything and its the best fit for the tires then il go with that. If 15x8 clearance everything and the tire fits good then I can go with them. Sounds like 15x10 is the better way to go since they will seat better on the rim.

i went from a 15x8 with 4" backspacing to a 15x10 with 3.75"back spacing and they caught on the front valance untill i took a slice off

I got no valance and will eventually get my custom tube bumper ive always wanted so il have clearance in that area. Any pics of each mounted up?

when my '94 was stock i had 15x10 soft 8's and other that the mentioned valence i had no issues. On a 15"wheel i've ran from 7-10"s wide and i personally prefer 15x10s due to the better appearance and stance(IMO), and as the daily driver and light wheeler at the time i noticed no greater wear in bearings or balljoints.

heres the stickout with a 31x10.50 on a 15x10
