Which tuner do you guys recommend for my need?

My 2002 ford ranger xlt 4x4 xlt 4.0l is, in my opinion, in need for a tune. I am interested in a super chip because i know that they are good in diesels but i am not sure if their good in gas. I have been looking around and jet chips also makes chips. I need some extra power on the high and low end ( i know its alot to ask for), some better mpgs, and better throttle response. I dont want to spend more than 400 dollars. Thanks, and any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
