Hi all, new to this forum. I have a 2000 Ranger and I need to replace the hubs. I have been look around and everyone needs to know whether it was built on or before 6/21/00 or if it was 6/22/00 and after. I am not sure how to tell, I read my drivers side sticker and it was built in June of 2000 so that didn't help much. I called the dealer and gave them my vin # and they couldn't tell me much about it. I would really like to know what the difference is and how do I tell the two apart. Sorry for the wall of post.

A 2000 could have either vacuum hubs or a live axle setup. The date split you listed was when they stopped using the vacuum hubs and went to the live axle setup. If you have the black plastic vacuum operated hubs, then you have the earlier build.

Awesome, thanks for the help.

hey man if it has vacuum hubs and u need to replace them, from ford their around 170 a side, i just bought and put on the rugged ridge hubs that are the manual ones, and thats the way to go if u wanna go that way, and their only 150 for to hubs. And their super easy to change over
