1989 reg cab short box 2.9 5 speed. would it have a dana 28 or 35 in it?

I know the B2 is a 28, & I am pretty sure the ranger is the same.

its probably a d28 but you can check for yourself. look at the front of the axle and count the bolts that hold the center section to the beam. d28 will have 12 bolts, d35 will have 10.
