im looking for a trans mount for my 85 b2? im looking for a replacement mount that was on the a4ld. the newer mount that originally came on the fm146 wouldnt fit my xmember so i put my a4ld on one there, but its seen some better days. ive looked online and every one i can find is for newer b2's which is the same style that can with the fm146 that wouldnt work. i read about an 80's f150 mount working, is that true?

Got a pic of it?

I have a few kicking around, but I think they are all the new style.

i just got one at autozone for my 94 ranger. think is was only like 30 bux. can't see the newer ones being too much different. basically the same frame and the same trans. take the old one with you and ask for one for a newer truck and have a look.

the studs are closer together on the older ones. dont wanna drill my xmember because it will get front back and side to side play

What about switching to a newer crossmemeber?

make a custom crossmember... that doesn't hang down.. that doubles as extended radius arm mounts.. !!!!!!!

mine is the high clearance one that is inside the framerails

well i'm jealous... mine hangs down... and mounts on the outside... that aint fair. lol.

and i know im missin a bolt lol it was for illustration purposes only. i havent seen any like mine that go inside the frame. i actually think it goes on the outside like all of the others ive seen like that, but i think i put it on wrong when i put the trans in...o well now i can do a flat t-case skid

no some of them did belong on the inner framerails. i was reading about swapping to them somewhere to add clearance.
