Simple question, where can i find a good new set of pushrods, I checked summit and JC jipme, cant find a damn thing. Do i need to go to the ford stealership to get them? Also has anyone replaced a set of pushrods because of wear, if so what was the time frame to replace, i may have a couple days free soon to replace them and if time allows, they will be replaced. thanks for any advice!

Alright, thanks, and do you remember the price per pushrod, and did you get new rockers as well, at what price ? Thanks again

Alright i found my answers, thanks for the reply. But one more thing, what length pushrods will i need for a 99 4.0 XLT 5 speed? ive seen 5.42, 5.45.5.48 overall length, any ideas?

Go with Sealed Power they're probably gonna be your best bet. It's a Federal-Mogul brand (like Moog) the part # is RP-3332 for the standard size theres also a .030 oversize PN # RP-3332 30 and a .060 oversize PN # RP-3332 60. If your motor hasn't been touched internally the standard size is usually the way to go. Price should be around $9.45 retail for the standard size. Sealed Power rockers part number R-1092 go for $23.00 retail.

Awesome, thanks, yeah the engine only has 83.000 miles on it now and wasnt touched internally to my understanding. Do you know the gap for the rocker to pushrod clearence offhand? Thanks for the quick replies

Off hand no I might be able to find out for ya tomorrow but thats the best I can do

Okay thanks, yeah its no rush at all i just noticed the tick today, systematic, not valve rattle, not bad lifter, gotta be pushrod, ill get around to it in a few weeks

there used to be a place on the net who sold new pushrods and rockers, I cant remember the name tho. 180 bucks i think for all the parts.

If it were me, I'd replace them with delta cam's hardened pushrods and rocker arms that way you wouldn't have to worry about wear again.
