Where to find Metric Bungs?

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows where I might get my hands on some LH & RH thread 22mm x 1.5mm weld in bungs? I am looking to build a steering set up for my BII and I kinda wanna use the factory TRE's to keep it simple and reliable. Thanks

In all the research I've done for my SAS, I've never seen a metric weld in bung. However, that's not to say that they can't be made. I'd get a hold of some of the manufacturers (or even a local fab/machine shop) and see if they could whip a few up for you.

On a explorer the tre's are 22mmx1.5 RH and 20mmx1.5 LH I gave up om metric bungs and just bought taps.I also got 1and 1/4 tubing with .291 wall to thread.I have a source for the taps if you need them.I think they were about 35 bucks each.

Ok thanks guys, I will have to think what I wanna do. Might go with heims I guess. I think I can get taps thru Fastenal if i'm go that route. Did you use DOM tubing or what grade of iron to get good solid threads?

1 and 1/4 dom with .291 wall.

Who use to sell metric bungs is Posion syder custom or you can just thread the tubing with a metric tap instead of finding bungs and by threading the tubing it will be strong than the weld in bung...
