I have been having difficulty with my brainless dome light staying on all the time as well as not being able to set my alarm due to the door sensor. This has been an irregular problem, and I, actually, had the dealer replace the component while it was under warranty, or at least they say they replaced it. Probably just sprayed it, which is what I hope to do as soon as I ascertain the location of the darn item. Now, I have the sense of hearing that it is in the latch assembly on some models and under the switch in others. I am eager to get a true reply as to the site of this bad tempered little rogue. Please help as I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance,

Jeff C.

the switch is integrated into the latch mechanism on the door. start by taking off the inner door panel, one screw in the lower corner away from the hinges, two screws at the handle and another screw thats hidden by the handle. then lift straight up on the panel and it comes right off. this will alow you to get at the inside of the door if you need to in order to fix the problem. good luck.
