If it was under the bed I probably would have left it there. The previous owner had it in the bed, when there was a cap on. I put it behind the passenger seat and secured it by tilting the seat back. If it was a standard cab then maybe I would want to add a bracket or something in the bed.

My spare is under my mom's Mustang about 100 miles from where I live.

Not useful, I know.

The spare from the factory is mounted under the bed...

The 33 inch spare is in the bed...did have it secured with a plank butttt some wheeling jarred it loose.

going to get one of those giant wing nut deals and mount it flat in the bed-was going to get the baja angle mount but a friend said they can hurt the bed when wheelin hard and they take up more room in the bed

lol mine is mounted in the factory location.. i stacked about 4-5 CV axle nuts onto that rediculously long bolt so removing it is a 2minutes process rather than 10

Mine is in my garage because the eyelet bolt snapped in half when I needed to remove it to replace my rusty leaf spring shackles. I would buy a bed mount spare holder if I didnt use the bed of my truck so much.

Mine is mounted in the bed.

My 33x12.5 spare mounts flat style in the bed. Easy to get to!!!

mine's also laying flat in the bed, no problems here..

stand it up and put a bracket on the side of the bed, "old man truck style"

my f150 has the spare laying flat in the bed, but i am going to make a bracket as i described above

Put it down. Those suckers are heavy.
