Where do you keep your CB dialed too?

Just curious where people keep their CBs on. I assume most people on Highway driving keep their radios on 19 if they have them on.

According the Wikipedia Channel 4 would the the 4x4/off-road channel, but when we go we usually find one that no one else is on.

This thought crossed my mind when I pulled up near a nice ranger at a red light and notice a CB antenna and I thought to myself, "wonder what channel he is on so I can tell him his truck is pretty".

I think most common is channel 19

19 in the big truck here

Out where I live, trucker that are french are on 10, english guys are on 19. And 4x4 is 16.

I usually am on the 10, alot more people on it if ever need be.

19 here, I only use it to listen in on truckers as they warn each other about wrecks and slowdowns ahead of me.

I usually run somewhere between ch 31-35 when out on the trail, as ch 4 tends to get a lot of bleed-over noise from the high-powered guys doing skip-shooting during the day on ch 6.

Seems the local rag-chew channels tend to be 12 or 17 most often up & down the west coast, not sure what gets used elsewhere in the nation.

19, as correctly noted, is where truck drivers typically stay, though they do occasionally bounce around the dial (a radio with a Scan function can help if you're looking to find others that are using the band).

I keep mine on 28 when I'm in town, 28 is the local channel. 19 otherwise

Sent from my SAMSUNG S6 using Crapatalk

19, since I mainly use mine on long trips.

Haven't installed mine back into the Explorer yet. Used to have it on channel '9' for emergency, 19 for general use.

While I do have red neck tendencies, My dialect (method of speaking for those that live where the buses don't run) is 'English' without any slang or rot-speak.

I'm amazed at how many people turn into "Smoky and the Bandit" cast member rejects when they get on a CB. Sure a few talk normal and are easy to understand. But some? Amazing..... Makes me wonder what they sound like at their job or home.

Channel 19. Not much chatter on the CB here in SW Idaho it seems like.

Mine is mounted up here.

That is a Shelf-It Organizer that I had to modify to fit in the Bronco 2 but overall I think it turned out pretty well. Need to get an updated picture showing the final mounting locations for the microphones but other than that it works well.
