When did B2s get a Dana 35?

The general literature on this site, such as in the tech library says the D35 was put into 1990 model years... But I seem to remember reading somewhere they started installing them in a certain month on the 1989s?

I was going to go look at a 89 B2 today, and although I dont expect it to have a D35, I sure am hoping...

even if it has a D28, you can usually find a D35 on here for around $100

My '90 Ranger has a build date of either sep or nov (cant remember) '89 and it came with a D28.

I dont think rangers came with D35 until they got a 4.0l?
My understanding was all Rangers were D28 or d28 hybrids on 2.9l and 4-cylinder engines?

the previous owner swapped in a late 89 in mine, thinking iit was a d35, but i checked the numbers and its a d28

sad thing was he knew about trs, guess he didnt check

No The Hybred didn't exsist until it was introduced on Non-4.0 1993 Rangers.

The Rangers switched over at exactly the same time the first week of December 1989 in the 1990 model run

how about a pic of the back of it, and the shaft. looks like a d28 to me but cant really tell. also there are build numbers to the right of the diff going up and down. they start with 610xxxxx, then match with thistaken from library)
