Just to be sure, any newer 16" 4wd Ranger wheel should fit on my 99 4wd?

both selections are very nice.
16 inch wheels shoulf fit no problem. just make sure they have the correct offset .
i have seen (albeit rare) different offset offered. factory is +12 MM. look for something very close if not dead on to that offset and your fine.

All wheels pictured are Ranger wheels. Wouldn't the offset be the same?

should be, but double check to be safe. also, if your 4x4 has hubs, make sure the center openings will be big enough to slide over them. just a thought.

even if the offset is different, they could still fit they would just either stick out more or be in more. the main thing you need to worry about is that the bolt pattern works. your truck is most likely a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern, I THINK. double check though before you buy them

My concern was not as much offset or bolt pattern but if it will mount in relation to the 4wd hub

Should be ok there, '98+ have pretty much the same hubs.
