hey all. lookin to buy some soft 8s for my 4000. i dont plan on lifting crazy im gonna crank the keys in the front but heres my issue. im not sure if i should get 15 by 7s or 15 by 8s. following the guide on the site to get the right back spacing and such. im just worried that if i get the 8 inch wide my truck will look like hectors slammed accord wagon with six feet of wheel hanging out of each side. any help advice or pictures appreciated

Check out the search function.

Do you know anyone who has a tire/rim setup like you're thing about....see if they left you put their wheel on your truck for a few minutes to look at it/go around the block once for rub-issues.

I'd have to go with 16's. seems like there are more/better tire and wheel options. Also if you find a wheel that Summit racing carried. They will beat the price over the phone.

My buddy has a cherokee classic with the setup with the 31s I like. Haven't had the chance to bolt them up. To the asshole ( that's right I said asshole) that said use the search. I did. And didn't answer my questions. So I started this thread. I believe my post asked any help, advice or pictures appreciated. Not just some douche who has nothing better to do but say useless things on someone's questions. Go ahead ban me. There's better ranger sites than this. I figured I'd ask you guys first. To the people that actually answered thank you. this is not my first forum and don't need some post whore to come on and tell me to search.

i have a 15x8 with 3.75 backspacing rim on my truck with a 33/12.5/15 and they dont stick out very far. maybe an inch. im sure they will be fine on a leveled truck

Dude you barely gave any information you your first post. The real issue with rubbing comes from tires, but you never mentioned a tire size. 31s on a 15x8 are one of the most common upgrade sizes out there. You shouldn't have even needed to search, glancing through the wheel and tire forum would have given your answer. Even if you did search, you still posted in the wrong section. You would have found the wright section had you taken the time to look for answers.

I believe I've already answered you question above, but yes 31x10.5 on a 15x8 will fit a a stock 04 B4000 without rubbing. You likely won't even have to do a torsion twist, they fit on my stock height 99 Ranger no problem. A slight twist fit 32 no problem, and I'm positive I could run a 33 without rubbing. That said the places I mostly drive off road (hunting club) don't involve a lot of flexing so YMMV.

:bye: Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the say out, we wouldn't want to have to buy a new one. Hope you have fun at your "better" ranger forums. I only know of one that's on par with TRS and with your attitude you'd get the same response there.

I have 12" wheels with 3.5" backspace, with 15.5" wide tires.

They don't rub or stick out too far.
