Hey all, my '97's got me a little baffled these days. It seemed like it started tracking a little oddly a week or so back, so I jacked it up and I can grab either wheel at the top and move it in and out about 1/4". I've pulled the locknut assemblies apart to check and retighten things, but these's no enough adjustment to get to the next "notch" for the keys. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Is it the ball joints? If the upper ball joints are shot that can happen.

Might explain the tracking funny. I put them in 6 or 7 years ago. How do I check them?

But what am I missing with the play in the wheel bearings? Rotors are probably 4 years old. Got new bearings at the same time.

I am suggesting the play is not a wheel bearing, if it can't be taken out with adjusting the bearings, but rather the upper ball joint is bad. You check it by jacking up the wheel, grabbing it at 6 and 12 and shaking, feeling for movement, and then looking to see if it is the ball joint that moves when you rock the wheel.
