Does anyone know of some take off/junkyard wheel options for 16 or 17 inch wheels that will clear the hubs on a 1989 4x4?

I did, but it only tells what wheels will fit the bolt pattern, not what will clear the hub/center bore

Look here https://www.wheel-size.com/

'92 Ranger has 5*114.3mm(4.5") pattern, 70.6mm(2.777') Center bore, 25mm(1") offset for the stock 14s.

Pick your victim e.g. '07 Mustang: 5*114.3(4.5") pattern, 70.6mm(2.777') Center bore, 45mm(1-3/4") offset for the stock 17s. Fit but need 20mm (3/4") spacers to maintain stock track.

Adjust your search to taste.

I've got a set of 16" from a newer Ranger or Explorer that works fine. Actually 2 sets. One steel and one aluminum. Just be wary of the center bore. If you see a large step down on the center it won't fit. Best way I found was to take an extra hub and slide it through the wheel I was trying. Ford made some of the styles on that page with multiple center bores.

Thanks. I will take a hub with me to the Junkyard soon and check them out
