Wheel Locks

Are they worth it? I'm running General Grabbers(Red Letters) and they have to look really good to any wannabe thief. Also can I swap an old lug for the lock with the truck sitting on the ground?

Also will the stock center caps fit over the wheel locks?

O yea I would lock them up lol look up mc guad on jegs they make good locking lug nuts u don't need to jack it up or anything just take it off and put the lockers on. And idk about the center caps

I was just gonna pick up a set at Oreilly or something today or tomorrow. I figure if I find a set that are the same diameter or smaller than the original lugs i'll be ok. The center caps are held on with plastic tabs that grab the lug nuts so thats why I was wondering.

Four should hold it on. But don't get the cheap ones they will strip out that's just my luck with them but I'd order a good set from mc gaurd in jegs

You only replace 1 per wheel...so just pick a lug that isn't holding the center cap on....they are only held on by 3 lugs.

+1 on McGard locks, they seem to be among the better made ones (they are hardened and made in the US, unlike a lot of others).

yeah get the good ones. i had some stripped ones on mine and we had to pound a socket onto them just to get them off. it was a pain in the ass but we did it and then threw away those junk ones.

I have McGard locks and lugnuts on my truck, Love them. Impacts don't bother them at all

Ok thanks guys. Can I get the McGard ones from anywhere other than Jegs? I don't have a problem with Jegs but if I could pick them up locally that would be good. Colleges don't like accepting packages for some reason.
