I need help quick someone with a manual ... What is the torque spec for the 5 nuts that hold the spindle to the knuckle and then what's the torque spec and process for the spindle lock nut? It's a dana 35 ttb front 4x4 axle on a 96 mazda b3000

40-50ft-lbs for the 5 spindle nuts.

The wheel bearing nut gets 35ft-lbs initially while spinning the rotor back & forth a few times to seat the bearings, then loosen it 1/4 turn and retighten to 15 INCH-lbs.
Then insert your locking key.

This is assuming you have automatic-locking hubs, you did say "spindle lock nut" (singular)... Manual hubs have a lock ring & 2nd (outer) locknut which often needs 225ft-lbs or so if you have oversize tires on it.

It has manual hubs tis it still the same process just torque the outer to 225 after?

Thanks again for the help!

Most people just tighten it as much as they can. Some even just go to town with impact wrench. I'm a small guy and by myself I could only get it to 125 lbs...odly that's what I weight. . Had to have aa friend come over and help.

Yeah, manual vs. auto hubs is important info here...

Tighten the inner nut (with index pin) using the procedure I mentioned above, then put the lock ring on (flip the ring over if the hole doesn't line up with pin, don't turn the nut), then spin the outer nut on and tighten it to 225ft-lbs (making sure the lock ring doesn't slip and allow the inner nut to turn along with it).

Make sure your spindles are in good shape before you put the rotors and such on. 4x4junkie has been helping me figure out why my bearing kept messing up, it was because i over looked the spindles being in not so good shape.

also, make sure your rotor can still turn easily. I torqued mine down too much once on accident and my grease went from a nice purple to an orange in a matter of 10 minutes of driving, and my manual hub got really friggin hot to the touch. couldnt touch it for more than about 3 seconds before feeling like i was getting a nice burn.

Thanks for the tips guys everything went together well on the drivers side I'm now just waiting on the outer stub shaft I ordered to show up now for the passenger side and I should be back up and on the road
