I'm just about to jump my mileage to 40mpg... but it'll be in a Justy![]()
I get about 17-19 average commuting, but I spend a fair amount of time sitting in traffic.
I am going to get one of those "Tornado's".........then i bet i'll get like 50 MPG's
here is the bottom line. the way you determine gas mileage is by filling your tank and resetting the tripometer to 0. you then drive the the truck for at least 200 miles. you then fill the tank. take the total miles traveled and divide by the # of gallons it took to fill the tank..
.....if it comes out to be more then 28 you are either lying, doing it wrong or going down hill the whole time........
Did you figure that out all by yourself? I hope you didn't hurt yourself trying to figure that out.
Hey, I'm not lying and I don't appreciate being called a liar by some retarded jerk.
I drive 260 to 270 miles per week. Depending on outside average tempurature (that week), I put in 8.4 to 8.8 gallons.
My driving is almost all highway. My truck is equipped with 3.73 gears, a 2-1/2-inch exhaust, 19 lb/hr injectors, K&N air filter and the Baffle in the intake was removed. I also use a snthetic oil.
I set my cruise control at 60 mph.
The worst mileage my truck got was when I had an EGR valve problem. The mileage dropped to 26 to 27. The only other time I saw a mileage drop is when the ICM wasn't working properly.
If your truck doesnt do this good, then don't blame me or call me a liar. Its sorry SOB's like you that make coming to forums like this unpleasant.
I think I have around 38 psi. My tires take 35-40.

How come a guy with 222 posts doesn't even know enough to fill out his vehicle profile.....and you want me to take you seriously..........the feds have my 99 at 19/21/24Mine does pretty good and I drive all highway. It gets right at 30 MPG but seriously, I drive it pretty easy. I never drive it over 65 MPH.
I don't do any city driving so I don't know.
