Whats your average mpg?

My gas gauge is broken, but usually I get around 580 to the tank. So I am guessing that is around 34 MPG... Only things done are pnp head removed the nerf football looking thing from the intake and normal maintenance. Most of my driving is done on the interstate around 70 mph. Also forgot that my A/C doesn't have the belt on it, have the one for power steering w/o A/C.

:icon_rofl:

What? I just watch my trip and reset it when I fill up. So around 550 I fill up and it usually takes about 17 gallons give or take a quarter gallon.

I'd be very carefully checking the odometer reading if that's the case.

this is no lie, my mom has a 95 ext cab ranger with the 2.3 5 speed and she gets 500 miles on a full tank. she babies it just so she can get the good gas mileage. when i say baby i mean shes goin 50-55 tops lol. gets better gas mileage than most 4 banger cars lol

this is quite possible as the xcab's have a 21.5 gallon fuel tank... like mine
has..
i figure i get low 20's mpg average with about 25 as a max on the highway in summer under 65mph.. with a tailwind .. etc etc :icon_thumby:

How do you guys get such good gas mileage? Have you guys done anything to your trucks to boost your mpg? What can I do? Everything on my truck is stock.

I have a 1998 reg. cab 2wd. 2.5l automatic. I only get about 18 or 19 mpgs in the city, but I don't drive it like a maniac either... What can I do to improve my mileage?
