What's wrong!!!

Timing spot on, new connectors on coil, everything should be in perfect order. Replaced ecu with another one.

Starts fine when cold, stops when warm.

Any ideas anyone?

thats a classic symptom of the TFI. you can try spraying it with cold water after a warm shutdown to see if the heat is affecting it.

TFI is the connector on the distributor, right? well, thats brand new.
My boss said since it stops when warm, could it be the upper water temp sensor in my lower intake manifold, telling my EEC IV that engine is overheating?

I know, but just make me feel good and carry a bottle of spray water, and next time it does it, spray that thing down with water and wait a minute and see if it will start. They can be bad new, or damaged from the store. You just want to get it cool. The sensor can get as hot as it wants, it wont tell the truck to shut down.

Sprayed my "new" TFI with water after it stopped, and it startet right away...."Return to sender"....

I have mowed my brand new TFI away from distributor, and fitted it with 4 large heatsinks. It builds up a small amount of heat easily touchable.

Did a fault code read out, and got one with engine off, fault code 89, exhaust heat control circuit failure.

And the other test, with engine running, gave these codes: 25 knock sensor not detected.

Would any of these faults cause the engine to die after 10-12 minutes?
